Princess of Persia | 2010
Princess of Persia | 2010
About: This outfit is still a favorite of mine, featuring my first-ever attempt at creating a complex gauntlet out of thermoplastics – Wonderflex specifically – the precursor to Worbla! I also tested my early sewing chops with tailoring existing garments and augmenting them with loads of trim and small touches. The princess was also my first time gender-bending a character, which I would go on to do many more times in the future. My favorite part of this ensemble has to be the scar though – after learning about rigid collodion I found a way to work it into many outfits in the future; nothing makes me feel more badass than dressing as a tough lady with battle scars!
