Elsa & Anna | 2014

Elsa & Anna | Frozen | 2014

About: My one and only time cosplaying a Disney princess – something I’ve never quite felt was a good fit for me from a character standpoint, considering how much I love posing with weapons while covered in mud and blood. This was also one of the most intricate costumes I’ve ever made – involving gluing hundreds of crystals on to the dress and cape by hand. Lisa Lou Who and I had a phenomenal time shooting these costumes at the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis, followed by a brief stop outdoors at a local frozen waterfall. I am not like Elsa, in that the cold very much bothered me – we lasted all of five minutes before needing to rush back indoors – but we still nabbed some great shots, and were even featured in Time Magazine in an article talking about the Frozen phenomenon!
