Madame Mirage | 2009

Madame Mirage | 2009

About: Madame Mirage – with her classic beauty and air of mystery – is one of those characters I wish had a longer run in comics. Illustrated to perfection by the talented Kenneth Rocafort and written by none other than Paul Dini, the story was as good as the scenery. Although I debuted the costume at SDCC in 2009, I didn’t shoot it until after-hours at NYCC in 2011 and retired the outfit officially shortly after. While the photos turned out stunning, this costume taught me that I’m much more comfortable covered in armor with weapon in hand than I am in tight dresses and high heels. Still, I’m very glad I had a chance to pay tribute to an underserved series and character.
