About: This costume marked one of my early ventures before fully embracing cosplay. I stumbled upon an unconventional project with local photographer Mike O’Halloran, who was known for his bodypainting series. Seeking something beyond standard fashion photography, I proposed a collaboration.

Mike provided the outfit, and his wife handled the bodypainting. We began the shoot in Mike’s studio against a backdrop of fake snow. Later, we ventured outdoors for authenticity, enduring the cold for about 20 minutes to capture the desired shots.

Though brief, this experience was pivotal in steering me towards cosplay. It taught me the value of exploring unconventional avenues for creative expression, even if it meant braving discomfort for the sake of art.
